New Lead Generation Site Demonstrates Value of Consumers Willing to Pay to Submit Buy Bids Online
DALLAS, TX In the wake of GM and eBay’s announcement to provide consumers with a more direct, online new car shopping experience, there’s another new service already garnering acclaim with dealers across all franchises.
AutoBidsOnline.com, the latest creation by CyberCalc, is an online car buying site that is quickly grabbing the attention of dealers and consumers across the country.
“For the last ten years, we have developed and marketed leasing software to dealers and independent leasing companies,” says company president Jeff Cook. “When the consumer leasing market literally imploded a year ago, we spoke to our dealers and noted gaping holes in the lead generation market. As such, we have developed a new approach that brings the most serious new car buyers to dealers willing to do business transparently online. “
With AutoBidsOnline, consumers define the exact car they are looking for and set a price they are willing to pay. They are required to pay a $29 fee to show they are serious about buying a car and also to keep their personal contact information private. Their anonymous buy bid is distributed to the appropriate dealers in the AutoBidsOnline Dealer Network who then compete to become the first dealer to accept the bid.
“It’s the anonymity of it all that was so appealing to me,” says a recent AutoBids member from Colorado. “With the other sites, you get so many emails and phone calls from dealers trying to engage you in the typical sale. With your site, I picked my car and set my price and let dealers compete to match it.”
The company conducted a nationwide survey in January with the results indicating consumers are less concerned about where they buy their next new car, as long as they feel confident they are getting a great deal. Personal privacy is also a major concern. While 91% of all respondents indicated they would prefer to buy online, 94% of them consider it important to keep their personal contact information private while doing so.
“AutoBidsOnline is ideally designed for those who are at the end of their 3-6 month car buying cycle and are ready get that new car,” says newly hired Director of Sales, David Funderburk. “There are roughly 1,000,000 consumers who will buy a new car this month and 750,000, or 75%, of them will use the internet at some point in their buying process. Once their research is complete, and it comes time to pull the trigger, they will be well served to use AutoBidsOnline.com.”
With dealers and consumers looking for new ways to conduct business online, each is finding AutoBidsOnline is a great way to do business. Dealers are embracing transparency and are willing to engage car shoppers on a wholly different level, while serious car buyers are energized by getting dealers to compete for their anonymous bid.
“The day of dealers chasing leads that are at the beginning of their six month online research process are numbered,” says Cook. “We’re putting serious buyers together with serious dealers at the time that each is ready to engage in the transaction.”
